Restorative Dentisry

At Kondo Family Dentistry, Restorative Dentistry is our specialty and we’re proud to have restored and created many beautiful smiles. Restorative Dentistry refers to the diagnosis and management of diseases of the teeth. Common issues treated by restorative dentistry are decayed, chipped, cracked, or even missing teeth.

Common Restorative Dentistry Services Offered by Kondo Family Dentistry:

Composite Restoration

Tooth Colored Cosmetic Fillings
Composite restoration refers to filling material that is made to match the color of your tooth. While there are a variety of tooth filling materials on the market, most people prefer to receive tooth-colored or composite fillings. Before you may receive a composite filling, tooth decay must be removed and then filled with a layer of tooth colored resin made to match your smile.

Crowns

All-Porcelain, Gold, and Porcelain Fused to Metal
A dental crown, sometimes referred to as a cap, is a fixed dental prosthetic that is cemented over a damaged tooth. The main purpose of a crown is to cover a damaged tooth, while strengthening it and improving its overall appearance. Kondo Family Dentistry offers traditional gold alloy crowns, as well as cosmetic crowns including all-porcelain and porcelain fused to metal, which are designed to blend with your natural tooth color.

Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are a thin pieces of durable, tooth-shaped porcelain that are custom made by a dental laboratory that are bonded to the front of your teeth. Restorative Porcelain Veneers from Kondo Family Dentistry can correct a variety of common cosmetic dental issues, including: uneven teeth, chipped teeth, discoloration, worn enamel and unwanted or uneven spaces. Porcelain Veneers typically require two visits to complete, with little to no anesthesia involved.

Fixed Partial Dentures (Bridges)

Often, a bridge or fixed partial denture is recommended by Kondo Family Dentistry if you’re missing a tooth. Gaps left by missing teeth often cause the remaining teeth to shift into the empty spaces, resulting in a bad bite. A dental bridge will span the open space where previously extracted teeth existed.

Partial Dentures

A partial denture is a removable, natural looking dental appliance that works to restore the form and function of your jaw by replacing one – or several missing teeth. Partial dentures are made from a combination of metal and acrylic, giving them the strength to handle natural chewing while appearing natural.

Full Dentures

Full dentures are replacement teeth that are fitted into an acrylic base designed to look natural. Full dentures are recommended to patients commonly when a full arch of teeth are missing. Kondo Family Dentistry will help you determine if full dentures are right for you.

Implant Supported Dentures

Implant supported dentures are a type of overdenture that is supported by and attached to dental implants. Implant supported dentures are recommended to patients with no teeth in the jaw, but enough bone in the jaw to support the dental implants required.

Implant Restoration

If you’re missing teeth they can often be replaced with dental implants. At Kondo Family Dentistry, we are experienced at fabricating the crown to restore your smile, form and function.
